Very good smell, Amazing

Prosper!! and Gardening.

I am a vegan and often cook Indian at home. Ginger is used in most of the curry. We decided to plant ginger in our garden. That was before summer. We are not organized gardeners. We do not check up on crops or plant strategically. When we saw the seed ginger in a farmers market, we came to know “the time to plant ginger”. We were so late but started our preparation. We checked the internet, cut the seed ginger in half, waited until germinated and planted in our garden. We were beginners and self-taught gardeners. Nothing happened for really long time in our garden. We did not know whether we did OK or not.

That was then, this is 6 months later. We harvested alright. My partner dug out the whole lump of ginger in one piece, but when I dug, I broke lump of ginger in pieces in the process. I really knew nothing about gardening. If you had done something, that would give you a certain experience. “Craftsmanship” means the experience and skill and is waiting for a chance to shine everywhere.

    Ginger

Ginger is originally growing in India and China. In the Middle Ages, it was delivered to Europe via “Spice Route”. It has been known since ancient times for medicinal and cooking use. In traditional Chinese medicine, ginger is used in any condition where the body is not coping effectively with moisture, whether the moisture originates within the body or while rheumatism and many of our winter ills are aggravated by external damp, and the fiery properties of Ginger are used to combat this.

excerpt from Aromatherapy An A-Z by Patricia Davis

Ginger was surprisingly fragrant since it was only stalks. Clay-like soil in the garden was broken down into the good looking soil after ginger was harvested. Earthworms were sleeping in the mud stuck to the lump of ginger. Ants were walking panickingly all over ginger as one lump grew inside the ants nest.

Back at home, we sorted ones for immediate use and for storage without washing off the mud. We are already using our ginger for the bean curry, sabzi and chai. We planted seed ginger 6 months ago and 6 months later, they had grown to a consumable size. How cool is our planet! How cool is the earth! We are breathing air and drinking water of the mother planet and making our living. It is really your own loss if you did not cut seed gingers in half and plant them in the soil.

If you cannot ground yourself, or if you feel million things in one second, gardening helps you to ground yourself.
